On 13th February, Mo will be speaking at the Focus on Global Health event at the University of Sheffield. This event will provide a forum to discuss a range of global health work that is currently being carried out within the University and by the local practitioner community.
Mo will give one of a series of lunchtime mini-talks, sharing a thought-provoking case study on primary health care in South Sudan. He will examine the situation in South Sudan - a country with the worst maternal mortality rate in the world - the progress made to date and the challenges still to be overcome.
Other mini-talks will cover diverse topics including reproductive health and gender in South Asia, paediatric TB, obesity and food security and the role of the EU within global health. The event starts with a buffet lunch, the mini-talks and discussion, and will be followed by time for informal networking and discussion over tea and coffee.
All are welcome - if you do plan to attend, please contact Amy Barnes from the University of Sheffield: [email protected]
