With places on our Careers in Aid Work course filling up fast, we’re in a generous mood! We’re giving away two tickets to TEDxSheffield, which runs from 12pm – 5pm on 15th November, at St Georges Church in Sheffield.
TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
This year’s line-up at TEDxSheffield is fantastic, from Dr Natalie Greenwold talking about the power of film to share life-saving knowledge with expectant mothers in developing countries, to talks on subjects as varied as Bitcoins, traditional music and parenting.
